the environment

I was wondering, does anyone else out there feel that the average citizen is being expected to shoulder the burden of the fight to save the earth, while industry is not being asked to do enough? I personally feel that we can all contribute to the health of the planet by making better choices, but big industry is allowed to carry on with business as usual. I'm talking about the oil industry and the auto industry in particular, although the auto industry has at least made some improvements (not nearly enough). I'm also vexed by the fact that bottling companies, for very little money, have access to staggering amounts of water, a shared resource which is essential to life, which they can then turn around and sell at enormous profit.

You are spot on, the rich industrialists are destroying the environment and we the ordinary citizens are paying the price-the pour affluent into water bodies, thes are the same water bodies that supply water to the cities-they dont even take responsiblity for Environmental Impact Assessments, so Industries get located where they are not supoose to be-National Environmental Authoities should do more to save the environment!
