Are you a boxing fan or a Manny Pacqiuao fan? In boxing some thigns happen and some things happen to go in another direction you might not like. I have no doubth Manny wanted to fight. Barrera, imo, was happy just to finish on his feet. He knew if he made it a fight, he could risk possibly getting koed. Inorder for a fight to be fun and exciting, 2 ppl have to come and fight not just 1

I can say Im neither a boxing fan nor a Manny Pacquiao fan. It's just that everytime Pacman has a fight, we have to watch it =) Anyway, thanks for that insight.

You won't believe it but everytime Pacman has a fight, there's zero recorded crime in the country. Literally, the world stops when he has a fight =)

hahaha wow i didn't know what a termendous affect Manny pacman was to your country. I heard he was like Michael Jordan in your country? It's very hard to beleive, but Manny's a nice guy and serves everythign good that happens to him. It's great that a boxer, who happens to compete in the hardest sport imaginable finally deserves the rocognition that Manny is getting. yet you see guys like Tiger Woods getting athlete of the eyar honors for swinging a pole and having a hotdog in his mouth ;)

Carol_m, I'm not disappointed with the Pacquiao-Barrera rematch. It's just that Manny wanted to give Barrera a gracious exit from the boxing world. Besides, Barrera was to smart that he tried every way to evade Pacquiao's punches. So a knock-out would be impossible.

This is their second match, remember. Manny and Marco Antonio would have known each other's weaknesses and strengths. They were both evading their hard blows. I believe Manny just avoided too much from Marco Antonio's stronger blows, the same way Barrera was avoiding Manny's fists. Perhaps, I was expecting too much from Manny. Anyways, our champion remains on top. Shall I bid good bye to Marco Antonio Barrera.

Me, too. Or maybe, I just expected too much coz in his fight with Morales, it was really a knock out...and it really was a fight =)

Not disappointed. Manny is getting to be more mature. You cannot expect Manny to fight like a brawler forever. In his last fight, he was fighting smarter, and learning to be a counterpuncher. Remember, Manny is very very strong, which was why he was able to dominate the lower weights. But as you get heavier, Manny may bring his punching power by getting stronger, but his opponent gets better in handling those power punches. If Manny continues to be a brawler, 130lb may be the last weight category that Manny may dominate (at this weight category, he was still able to KO the legendary Morales, as well as Solis). In the Barrera fight, Manny used "controlled aggression".

Yup. Barrera is just too old for Pacman. It's a good decision that he retired. Barrera fought with evading style, while Pacman keeps proding him to fight.

I was upset on Barrera not on Pacman Barrera was fighting mainly for the money he was waiting all night for Pacman to come in and well the money he got is a very good investment for his retirement
