I have started to feel these heartburn sensations again. I was given a prescription for omeprazole last March and have taken it strictly everyday for one month. It has helped me a lot after taking the medication and I didn't feel any symptoms any longer. So I thought I was healed. But unfortunately, last month I had to take two kinds of antibiotics suposedly for one week for another different ailment. I didn't think I would have any stomach problems any longer because I completely no longer felt any of the symptoms. Well I shoul've thought better! The 2 antibiotics I took were very powerful and had very severe side effects! I felt nauseated, bad headaches, felt dizzy and just basically felt terrible. I even had to throw up once in a parking lot! After that experience I thought I would no longer take any kind of pharmateutical medicines, ever! And now instead of getting cured, I gained more illness, yikes. So, after learning my lessons, I took a look around the internet and tried finding a natural cure for my heartburn. I started taking Apple Cider Vinegar with water. It didn't really helped much because I started to feel stinging feeling in my throat and a not so good taste in my mouth. Now, I am in the stage of trying ACV with baking soda. I don't know if this will finally work. But I don't think ther's harm in trying since this will leave me little side effects. So, do you know any which willgenuinely work for this kind of ailment? Thank you so much.

I saw on TV a show about a book called home remedies. They talked about a few different home remedies that were in the book. One of those topics was about heartburn. Vinegar. Plain old white vinegar. Drink a couple tablespoons of it and the heartburn is gone. Well, I tried it and to my amazement it worked. I have told so many other people about it and they also say they tried it and it worked for them too. And it works very quickly, within seconds usually. If not within a minute drink some more. It will work, I promise you.

Hi chrislotz! Thanks for your interest to respond to this discussion and sharing your experience. I have researched from the internet after I have made this post and I have also come across this suggestion. I actually bought apple cider vinegar and tried a couple of days and did not help me. I read that it's a case to case basis, and if ACV alone does not work, you can add baking soda to the vinegar. I have also tried this way and it did not much help and so I tried the baking soda alone for three weeks. Amazingly, it did work. I haven't been on it for some months now.(=

Hi sophylline, I don’t have any specific knowledge about heartburn sensations. I think it’s not a disease but most probably a kind of malfunction of the organ especially related to the food canal. It’s not caused by bacteria so antibiotic couldn’t work on it. For further information you can access by net surf under: heartburn sensation. My elder sister in law did experience this few years back. She sought treatment from a specialist and after taking the medicine for few days she then got cured and had no complain until now.

Hi Ikbooi, thank you very much for responding. I did see a specialist last March and I was given traetment (medication). I was relieved of any symptoms after taking the medicines for one whole month. I no longer felt any heartburn sensations up until last month when I had to take other meadicines for another ailment. These medicines were very strong, I tell you. I shouldn't have taken them. Anyway, my doctor said if my symptoms go back I have to consider having an operation, endoscopy. However, I still think though that I can be cured by some natural kind of healing or supplement. So thank you for your effort and initiative to help, I really appreciate it. I will also look this up further when what I am trying out (ACV and baking soda)will not be progressive. I am still in the process of taking them. I think I would see the effect after a week or so.
