Marie Digby - Is she really a fake?

I've listened to her version of Umbrella, and among the numerous covers, it's hers that I like the best. I thought she was an amateur but there have been claims that she was just fabricated to look like an amateur. The news have turned me off a bit but still, I like the way she sings. What's your take on it?

I saw this video clip of an interview with her on youtube. She signed a contract with a recording studio 2 years back i think. But her career didn't go as she'd expected it and so she decided to post her songs to reach a broader scope of listeners. But now that you made me think about it, it could all be fabricated since all of her videos were in a way perfectly recorded. The audio in her videos were unbelievably good considering she was only using a camera.
