Seems like the gas prices are on the rise again and I swear it is hard for middle class and poor to make it we gave up all our vacations and go to store once every two weeks I mean geesh hopefully they wil go down some again soon but it sucks that it takes over nite to raise gas by 20 cents and 3 days to lower it a penny.

Doesn't it suck? On a good month, I'm lucky in that I fill up every 1 1/2 weeks. I drive a 12-year old Jeep so my gas mileage has dropped to an abysmal 11-12 MPG. Takes me $40-50 to fill the tank; so that would be $80-100/month on gas (for a POOR, COLLEGE STUDENT) I don't have that kind of cash. S**t, I don't even work right now. How much does it take you all to fill your tanks?

yea it seems as if one of our bigger bills is gas anymore it has become such a burden especially for very busy families. Travelling far to and from work, going to school, trips to the store, etc. when you own a gas hog its so much more difficult. A primary feature in purchasing a car will now be to look at the mpg for the car. we have a chevy suburban, i now want to trade in for a car or a suv with better mpg.

You have to be rich to drive, these days!! It's terrible, and I don't like what's happening at all. I don't drive and I never will, so I won't have to pay at the gas station, but bus and cab fares are going to go up, along with the price of the products we use every day, because of transportation fees to shop those products from one place to another.

The price of your gas has now approached what we in Canada pay and what is different here is that we do not get our mortgage interest deducted from income tax, so we tend to buy smaller houses and only buy larger houses when we are in our fifties or sixties. When our gas went up, we went through the same phrase when the price of oil went up, immediately the price at the gas pump went up, but when it went down at the source, it took forever. I also heard that there are few good paying jobs and that stinks. People do need vacations. There are hybrid cars, but who can afford them?
