Is University Necessery for Success?

Is university the only way which leads to the success in the career? If not, do we need to study in it?

I think it really depend on character of people.Somebody don't need a University to show his quality or is able to leanr many things without university.I know many people who are sucesfull without it.But also ther are some, who need school to prove something themselves.Also it depends on country.I am living in USA right now and it looks like University is not that important.Of course if you are a doctor or so that is something different.What do you think?i don't see your opinion up there.

Here in China, University Degree is very important in job market because of the competitive situation on the basis of big population. I do agree that university is not the only way to success but sometimes we have to compromise with the social envirnment. For example, there are 100 people who compete for 10 job vacancy. There is not too much time for the interviewer to exam everybody deeply. The diploma of university automatically becomes the best way to check the capability of the candidates. It's completely partial and unfair but no way out. :(

Well in my personal opinion time has show over and over that you don't nessesarily need school to succeed in life or to be successful. Some of the richest and smartest people in the world have never attended university let alone even high school. For example Peter Jennings who is known for covering the 9/11 terror attacks. At that point he was one whom most Americans tuned into for the news and he's a high school drop out. Then there's Sean Connery, Elton John, Walt Disney, Quentin Taratino, Ray Charles even Albert Einstine all dropped out of school or never even bothered attending. So ya I don't know where school comes into everything but I guess school is mainly there for people who want to learn things others can do so easily I guess but overall I don't think you nesessarily need schooling in order to be successful. Just as long as you have the drive to egt somewhere and do something in life I think anyone could be a success but some need help to get there (I Guess Thats Why We Have Schooling) while others it comes to easily.
