Well, as I’ve told most of my friends on my various forums, I was going to take Capt Jack/Clovis to be micro chipped today. Because my client lives close to the clinic that Cats’ Angels gets their work done, I took Jack over to my client’s for the day. This is ALSO the place I found him and where I later found his previous owner. Well, nice person that I am, I let her know that I had him at the apt so she could come by and say good bye. Well, don’t you know, she shows up with a pretty, young, PREGNANT Siamese! Well, this was her OTHER cat that she was letting run around the apt complex! I couldn’t say no. I took her with me to ATA to be checked for FIV/FLuk (neg & neg) and determine if she was too far along to spay (yes.) I took her by the lady in charge & she says she going to TRY & find a different foster home than ours (doubtful) but at least the kittens will be adoptable around Xmas when most of the other kittens are out of season! No pix yet of her, we’re going to call her Rose. Why Rose? Well, for Doctor Who fans, Capt. Jack Harkness (who we named Capt Jack after) came from the show & Rose was The Doctor’s companion when they met. Same household, same TV show - we’re already picking out Who-ish names for the kittens!

lol Love the title you came up with for this discussion..with hitchhikers. lol Ya know, Elic, you really need to find that 'sucker' sign and destroy it or at least change it so it directs the cats to some other cat lover (not me thou, ok).

Thanks! Your right, but fact is that I think this is the last cat - THIS year from the complex! Now, if we can just get the roomie's co-workers to stop! At least the worst of kitten season is behind us & the "hitchhickers" will be ready around xmas!

That's good of you to take in these cats and find them good homes. I've got to say though that I'm worried about the siamese cat who's pregnant and due before Christmas. I hope they won't be given away as Christmas presents because not everybody wants a kitten or a cat for Christmas and not only that, most get tired of them once they grow up. That woman needs her head knocked off her shoulders for letting her cat run free like that before getting it fixed. That's one of the few dumb behinds in this world who just don't care. Gosh that aggravates the heck out of me. GRRRRRR!!

The screening methods of the group I'm in (and the fees) kind of take out those that just want a cute kitten for Christmas. Its more that there are few kittens in the winter & you know how many people want a kitten to nurture & bond with you. Well, I'm living proof that grown cats can bond! And the dumb lady, well she thought the cat had been fixed and at least she brought her to me to be taken care of & rehomed!
