What would you do,if you lost your job? Because your back is worn out. Your were always a good worker (machine operator) and everyone depended on your help.(Only 41 years old. And a woman.) Now your sitting at home and need help. Where did everyone go? The end of the month I have no job. What kind of a job could I get? What would you do, in this situation? I am myself all most ready to give up. But, I now I have to do something fast! And one thing is not give up!

Hi margajoe! To be honest with you, I am in the same situation. I am 41 years old, I don't have a job and here in my country, age really matters on being hired. Then I learned that call centers here are not that discriminating with regards to age and so, I applied to three call center companies here in our area and two of them told me that they can't hire me because I am over qualified and the last one said, I am not fit for the job. So what should I do when cash is running out? Oh, I got depressed for almost a month and to be honest with you, I am still confused on what to do but one thing is for sure, I won't give up..I will be on the look-out for other opportunities. I will sell crafts in the internet and in local shops which I did before when I was a lot younger. Take care and hope things will get better to both of us.

Hi Faith210, Thank-you for your answer. Yes I now what you mean. I went from Holland to Germany because in Holland I was to old to get a good paying job again. Why Germany? Thecompany I worked for was Nivea Bdf. It has be shut down in Holland. And two of our machines went to Germany. Some of my collegs and I went for 4 months to Germany to help them with starting the machines. Then they offered me a job in Germany. So I figured it was better for me to stay in Germany. The people here are more friendly towards me as older women. Problem know is, my back. Cannot do the work I was tought to do. I do hear that Germany has more possiblities for me. So I will stay for now and find out. Like you I don´t want to give up. But, sometimes it can be so hard! I love to work, and people think I am just faking it all. I wish! But, that is a good Iedee you have. Sellng crafts. I ´would like to start painting again, but don´t now if that would make any money. I also hope things will get better for the both of us. Let´s try to keep thinking positief, that should help. Bye, take care.

Hi Faith!!! It has been a year ago know. Have you got a job? I hope you are doing well. How are you doing? Me, I am off the anti depressives, they only made things worse for me. Took them for about 6 months and gained 20 kilo's. Now I am really depressed. From the 20 I gained I have lost 7 kilo's. Stopped taking the medicine about 2 months ago. The medicine only made things worse for me. I was sleeping my life away, and my back was killing me more when I finally wanted to get out of bed. I feel better now, but my back is still not good. The doctors thought they could cure my back by giving me the antidepressant.Did not work. Oh well, I figured I would try to work at a call center here in Berlin. They were asking for people who speak Dutch and or English. I speak and write both. But, again I guess I was to old for the so called young team. Oh well, I survived the last year, things can only get better. Take care, hope to hear some good news from you. Greetings Margajoe.

how many years have you worked in your previous company?i think your company should tell you the reason why they fire you and pay a sum of money for your contribution to the company.you are machine operator,so you can apply jobs through internet,or collect job information from your friends or collegues.technicien can find jobs in workshop or manufacture sections.wish you good luck

That is a tough situation to be in Margajoe and I am not sure how I would cope if that ever happened to me. I could say now that I would try to look for some work to do online from home, join as many good sites if i can. I hope that is where i would start.

Hi!!! Maddysmommy, Yes, that is what I am trying. But, it´s not as easy as I thought. There are programs that tell you you will earn 1000 dollars a month. Until now I have earned 30 dollars in 4 months. Oh ja, and here in my lot 0.61 cents. LOL I am also glad with the little things in life. But, I am also happy with the good days, and today I a having a good day. You now what also is very comforting? Being able to try and help others on the internet. This program is great! My lot I mean. At the same time people are helping me too. Thanks for your comment. Take care and have a nice day.
