Hey did you guys hear about those pits that killed their owner in California a couple of weeks ago. I read recently that Pit bulls and rottweiler account for around 70 - 80 percent of all dog related fatalities. What are your thoughts on this?

All this crap going around about pitt bulls being bad dogs is a load of crap. Anyone who thinks pit bulls are going to attack just because they are pit bulls are just not right. Pit bulls are very loving dog. The media and the owners are turning them into a bad name and of course, people listen to them. Anyone who doesn't own a pit bull is missing out on a lot of love. Look at Stubby, the pit bull who was a part of 102nd in WW1, read that story....that's the good stuff the media lacks telling about. Perhaps they should start telling about people who get nipped in the ankle froma small dog...how about that!

I think you are missing an important statistic. According to the Chicago Tribune, there were 12 fatalities in the united states involving dog bites in 2005. 90% of the dogs involved were NOT spayed or neutered regardless of breed. 61 percent of the dogs were in an abusive or neglectful situation or were not humanely restrained(they are left chained permanently outdoors with no affection or were physically abused, or were being starved). I really challenge anyone to find a story where a spayed or neutered pet pitbull killed someone, maimed someone, or caused a hospital visit.
