TVB's drama based on a novel by Huang Yi(??).
I was very happy at fist that TVB finally came out with an ancient costume series,with real fighting,a new story line.
'step'is funny at the beginning where Hung Siu Lung cracks jokes and is still trying to cope to the past's language and way f life.Louis Koo was admittingly funny at times in 'step'with the humor.

I really liked this series. It is definitely an awesome experience getting to travel back into the past in the ancient Chinese setting. The part of the series I particularly liked most was Raymond Lam starting from a timid and shy person rising up to become the emperor that is so inhumane and evil until the point of wanting to kill Louis Koo, his "mentor". Louis also had many relationships with many girls in the show, and it is cool to see how the girls fall for him too such as Jessica Hester-Hsuan and Michelle Saram. The costumes were very beautiful and I really liked them.
