hmmm...i think parents should spend time talking with their kids. open communication is the key for a healthy relationship. but kids are not expected to initiate such. parents should. and parents should also show that they too have open communication line. that they don't shout at each other when talking so that kids will have an example to follow.

I think inside a home they have many activities. It must have to do every weekend. At dinner or lunchtime they have to eat together, pray together or even watch tv together. a parents should guided their children to their study, they should help them with it. Advice them on what to do and what their children is planning to do. When it comes to personal things, like crushes or admiration, they should appreciate changes in their children but atleast takes time to guide them on the right path. They should go out having dinner out, jogging with them. Buying clothes and things and let your children decide what they think good for them. When together, a parent must still be a parents, and a child must be a child but they have to enjoy every moment they shared together.

We need to accept the fact that everyone is different and we need to accept family members as they are. We need to support our family members in the good times and in the bad times. Communication plays an important role in every family.

Hello jcyap888. Closer relationship is developed when one responds to the needs of another. One would appreciate someone who helps and loves him/her. So, I think to develop close relationship, we need to teach our children how to be able to do a little sacrifice for the sake of the other members of the family. If they know how to be selfless, then other family members would reciprocate the attitude, and thus ultimately everyone is after the well being of the other members of the family.
