I do usually take my car for service when it is needed to be worked on. My old car I would take for an oil change every 3000 miles and would have the tires rotated and whatever other work needed to be done. With my new car, maintenance is not going to be necessary as often since it was made better but will take it when it needs to be worked on.

Yes, I change the oil of my car every 3,000 miles and I make sure they check the belts, the break, the air filter, the oils, the lights, the tires etc etc.

Periodically for every 5,000km linear distance indicated by mileage reader. And this practice is encourage by the car manufacturer for long lasting to the car engine's life span. It based on the mileage and not the engine running hours.
