do you SMILE when you answer the phone?

Hello there. Most the time, I do smile when I answer the phone. I am someone who likes to smile. Also, I have a monotonous voice. To compensate for that, I try to smile as much as I can when I talk. Of course, I only smile when I feel happy. When I am feeling sad/angry/frustrated, I cannot bring myself to smile.

I feel stupid to say this, but I smile a lot of times when answering the phone even though there's nothing funny at that moment ~_~" duh... well, only a slight smile, actually, but it's still a smile, isnt it?? I dunno why, it's just my habit, and I dont even bother to try stopping it =p

I never smile when I answer the phone, unless of course I see that the person calling is someone that I'm really excited to hear from. I just try to sound friendly when I answer it.

hi.. i do... that's from the many years of my working closely with a telephone (but i didnt work in a call center)... haha... prior to that, i ran across the room to runaway from a ringing telephone and have someone else pick it up... now... im grateful that i dont have to... ahahah...

I have heard the same information about smiling when you answer the phone. :) However, I never smile when I answer the phone. I know that I sound pleasant enough when I answer the phone. Also, I want to be myself in my own home and also while I am on my cell phone. Somehow, it seems too contrived to put on a smile to answer my very own telephone. :)

Yap. I do smile everytime I answer the phone because I beleive that they can hear it even if they can't see me smiling. Besides,smiling exercises our facial muscles and it reduces frown lines on our face. Keep smiling even if you're not seen by other people. It's for your own benefit. It's good not only for the face but for inner peace and joy as well.

I don't mind smiling on the phone if the situation demands, such as when my friends call up.. What's the harm in smiling while u r talking on the phn dear?? And by the way, is the dog in the pic above urs or u picked this phto frm smwhr else?? Such a cute one it is...

Yeah I smile when I canswer the phone, and actually I do all kind of faces when I am talking exactly as if the person was in front of me... funny isnt?

I think no. I haven't noticed if I smiled when I answered the phone..=)
