How should you love your friend?

I have a friend who is half my junior. As such I treat her like a little sister or when she needs a little "friendly reminder" a daughter and fondly she calls me "itay" (dad in Filipino). But most of the time we are like best buds because she is a bit tomboyish in her ways. She's one of those girls who is "one of the boys". She's very adventurous which is why she often gets herself in a fix here and there. I am caring by nature. You can say my paternal instincts are very strong and I show that to my friends. I am always there for them when they need me and they count on that. But with this girl I more so. I find that I treat and see her like my little sister but I love her very deeply. With a passion but no lustfully or romantically. Is that a good thing or not? Any advice?
