Yes, I agree with you. It's just like one of those economic theories, the more the demand is satisfied, the less is the demand for it. Like, if you want cake so much, usually the first bite is the most satisfying, the more you eat it, the less satisfaction you get in each bite. And when you eat and eat, there will come a point when you don't want anymore of it. The pleasure in eating the cake has ceased to become a pleasure.
