why them came to china?

There're more and more foreign friends came to china,some of them work in china for free.And the situation here is worse than their homeland.what's your opinion?

I am unable to make out what you are saying: Who are these friends? Why they come to such a closed economy such as China? What work they carry on? Why the situation is worse/worst?
