I am just curious because I have three mice and saw a really cute dwarf hamster and now I want it. ^_^ I am curious if the three mice will gang up on the one hamster. The dwarf hamster is about the same size as the mice so there is no large difference. Do they get along? Thanks in advance!

I have been reading up on breeding/keeping mice for snake food. I read that even if you take a mouse away from the other mice with it and have it out for a while and place it back with the others it might smell funny to them and they might kill it...I wouldn't think putting a hamster in with mice would be a good idea. They might perceive it as a mouse that has something wrong with it, it may smell funny to them and they might try to kill it, or vice versa.

Huh, I did not know that. But it makes sense. Thanks!

I do not believe that they would get along. I think they would fight with each other all the time

That's kind what I was thinking, just wanted to be sure.

I wouldn't recommend it. Hamsters are very territorial, and even if they don't end up killing each other, it would make for a very unhappy living situation -- certainly not the kind of thing you'd want your pets to be subjected to.
