Is this really fear of the unknown?

I mean, I've been writing for years. And I've been having conversations and discussions since I learned to talk (despite my school teachers desperate pleas for quiet). So why, when my fingers froze on the keys, did I immediately assume it was a fear of the unknown. True, I don't know anyone here...but I've never had a problem talking to new people. Okay, so this format is not something I'm familiar with. But I email my friends on a regular basis, and we discuss all sorts of things using a back-and-forth, electronic format. I think we've established that the hesitation can not be attributed to a fear of the unknown. Maybe it's just a simple case of nerves - the writers constant fear that their work will not be intersting enough, not find an audience to embrase it. I guess we'll see.

Perhaps it is a fear of the unknown. It's a new forum for you and although it sounds like you have excellent communication skills with new people, it appears that your encounters have been face to face. And yes, the rejection factor does exist on myLot and you don't know where it's coming from. Hang in there! MyLot is a lot of fun! A big hello and welcome from me! - K

That's a good point. This seems like a great place so far, and now that I've gotten over the initial "posting" hesitation, I think my biggest problem will be figuring out where to start!

One of anguish, almost permanent fear of the unknown. The action is very strong but they do not burn continuously in human consciousness. This phenomenon difficult to detect at first glance, determine non-action. We are afraid to start something or stop after achieving his first obstacle because we do not know what will happen. We're afraid to change some habits, we're afraid to say it bluntly, we're afraid to take a stand in front of events, people or things. Unknown inhibit us on most of us. Blocks in Stranger us and make our own shell-like animals hunted by their own shadows or ghosts. What to do when you realize that the fear of the unknown paralyze you? First of all, congratulations that you realized it! It is the first step to winning the battle with fear. Then, mobilize yourself with your entire being to be a winner. Imagine the mental victory. Make a plan of action and go for it! Go to the end and collect your trophies of victory: trust, satisfaction, a little bit of happiness. I'm not saying that every step is easy but you say it is wonderful victory. And do not forget to thank at the end.
