Okay, time for mean old Lecanis to make fun of a friend! *giggles* Today I was on the phone with a friend, and he informed me during our discussion that he was currently working on his house, and going up and down a ladder. Now, I don't know about the rest of you, but I would NOT be talking on a cell phone while on a ladder! It just sounds way too dangerous to me! What kinds of things do you do when you're on your cell phone? Do you ever worry about being injured in cell-phone-caused accidents? Do you worry about your friends being injured in them?

*nods* I've talked on the phone while doing all kinds of interesting things, just nothing dangerous. =) I would think "in the shower" would be kind of difficult because of the noise from the water, but I haven't tried it. Now you have me curious!!

That is a Homer incident waiting to happen.I hear D'oh!! as he falls down the ladder. I don't use a cell phone so I don't worry about trying to do two things at once.

Ah, I hadn't thought about not using a cell phone. Granted, I use mine as my only phone, so I use it at home as much as out, but it is convenient when I'm out. I guess technology has made me complacent. =P Oooo I love the Homer image! =P

LOL! That reminded me of how I was trying one day to call someone and write something down both in the same time. I just couldn't coordinate my moves; instead of hanging up the phone by pressing the cute little red button on the right, I stopped writing...lol! Now that's dumb! The worst part was that I had to make plenty of calls until I managed to talk to that someone so you can imagine how many times I've had that coordination problem! *laughs*

*giggles* I have a hard time doing anything else while talking on the phone too! Not coordinated enough at all! Perhaps my friend is just more coordinated than I am! Don't you hate it when you have to make a ton of calls to talk to the person you need to??? Grrr!

Oh yeah! I really hate that... especially when it's erally urgent or you don't have too much time to spend on making those calls...

Dear lecanis, Once while was driving my motor bike, I got a call over my cell. I listened while driving. I slow down my bike in order to grasp the information. First I could not understand what was my friend telling me and said I would talk to her later. She told me in louder voice that she met with an accident and wanted my help. She could not walk as she had fallen from the cap. I immediately stop and got the full information and went to her help. I do agree that while talking over cell phone we should not do anything other than listening to cell phone voice.

Wow, that's some story! Thanks for sharing! I'm glad you were smart and stopped to listen once you found out what was going on!

I think I am one of the few people who isn't glued to my cell. I have one (one way over my head as far as what it can do) and use it but I don't NEED it like so many others. I generally won't do anything crazy when on my cell. I am a huge klutz and need nothing to help me along. I would fall off the ladder without any distractions. lol.

*nods* I'm not glued to my cell either, though I do admit there are a couple of people whose calls I take if at all possible. Still, I often turn it off when I'm doing things that aren't conducive to cell-phone talking. Nice to hear from a fellow klutz. *giggles*

Haha, I guess not! Though in this case I think perhaps he just wasn't thinking clearly. I mean, I am an awesome person, so anyone would rush to get to talk to me! *giggles*

Sheesh how crazy is that. Ok I know people do use their phones in daft places but up a ladder ??? What do I do when talking on my phone? Usually sit down and make myself comfortable if it is my Mother, I know it will be a long conversation :-)

Pretty daft, yes! I'm not likely to do much either while on the phone. Even if I'm just out walking or something, I usually find a place to sit. I just get too wrapped up in what I'm saying to multitask on the phone!

ME!! LOL Yeah I'd be one of those idiots who'd talk while climbing a ladder. LOL Heck I used to climb trees to the top with nothing to keep me from falling so why not a ladder while talking on the phone? Because I have no fear is why and because I work without a brain. LOL

*giggles* I used to climb trees like that too actually, so I'm definitely not afraid of heights. But I don't think I would try to talk on a cell phone while climbing the tree. =p

Haha. I know who you are talking about. I actually do a lot on the phone. I even go to the bathroom on the phone considering the person im talking too. I dont really talk on the phone a lot but I have probably had a few incidents where I almost fell and didnt put my hand out because I was holding my phone.

*laughs* I've actually been talking on the phone a lot more over the past few months than probably in several years before that. I don't know why. I've just made more friends that like talking on the phone I guess. Now I have to get a different cell phone plan so I don't have to worry about my limits. =p Eh, I'm too big a klutz anyway... I fall down without even having anything in my arms most of the time. Even before I started having vertigo issues that is.
