Why should cat chase the mice?

cat on the hunt - Playing mice around and chase it.

One morning,i wake up early and go to my lavatory to have my toothbrush but i spotted a cat playing around with mice my cat use to catch the mice and i love to see him hunt the mice until he trapped it with his paws and then he let it go then chase it again . is your cat do same like this?

yes my cat tamone male cat loves chases them yes they do play around with it and then they kill it but my female cat suzie does not chase them all cats are differnt

Yes. I think those things belong to cats' instincts. It's natural for them to do that, since nature made them as hunters. Maybe because cats are domesticated, because cats are naturally playful, or because their food is far from the taste of mice that's why they do not eat them. I usually play around with my cats, using a string. They would chase and chase the string, how nice to see them stumble, dive, and run. They are so cute!
