A lot of members in my family snore as well. In most snoring cases it happens due to nasal congestion. Their nose gets clogged up during the night and then end up breathing through their mouths while they sleep. Various sleeping positions can limit snoring(sleeping on your side is one of them if I recall), as well as nasal decongestents or nasal strips to open up the nasal passages. Have him try a couple of these and see how they turn out.

Jiangli, I don't have an idea as to how one can control his/her snoring. Maybe you'll be needing a headphone plugged in your ear with music that will let you sleep and not hear the snoring. In my case, I sleep in whatever condition there is.

That's terrible. My roommate had the bothering snores, too. At that time I got used to hear the walkman to fall asleep, so that I wouldn't hear her snores.

Hello dear jiangli. I am so sorry that you have to share the same room with a snoring person that makes you unable to fall asleep. Well, I think that the better way is either to fall asleep before he does or plug your eyes with your earphone by listening to English listening material, or music or radio till you fall asleep. I hope that it might be of some help to you, my dear friend.
