How Do You Let Friends Be Friends

I'm one of those people who never meets a stranger. What you see is what you get. I think that this is one of the reasons that people always feel at home with me and almost instantly consider me a friend. I try and overlook the odd or immature as quirks after all no one is perfect, besides it's just as easy to see the good in others as it is to see anything else. That being said I reach out to all those around me with love, knowledge and my own quirky humor, when it looks like they're feeling down, tired, ill or just plain out of sorts. Unfortunately, as easy as it is for me to send out all of these various forms of affection, I always feel odd when they're being offered back to me. When this started I'm not really sure, but now that I've noticed it, what should I do about it.
