Pretty self explanatory. I am curious to see what peoples religions are. I would like to start studying religion and just want to know, what is your religion what is it based on and what you chose to join this religion. please include any personal experiences with your religion as well. I myself am Baptist. I went to may different kinds of churches as a child with my grandparents (all focused on the Christian religion but I would love to hear about some other religions) and finally I began going to a baptist church where I was baptized at 11, but of course this was way too soon. Later after some problems with the church my family stopped going to church altogether. I soon decided to try a church behind our house. I went alone mostly, occasionally dragging some friends or family along. After having gone there for about 2 years I got saved. Before a sermon one Sunday morning I just burst into tears and I did not know why. I cried for what seemed like forever praying the entire time. Since that day my life has changed drastically, it is so much better I am happier and I smile more, I get to talk about God to people like I am talking about a best friend. Yes, there are still hard times and I am far from perfect, I mess up alot and I don't always behave like I should, but God forgives me somehow but only if I mean it. The religion is based on Jesus having came from heaven and dieing on the cross for our sins. We pray to God, but also to Jesus and the Holy Spirit. We follow everything from the King James version of the bible. We are far from being extremists although in more of the city areas you can find some extreme baptists. Now I want to know about your religion, anything from Buddhism to Christianity to atheism. Please post as much as you can think of.

I am of no religion, yet I am not sure that there is not a God. I just haven't decided for sure yet. I'm 33 years old, and each year that goes by just confuses me more instead of bringing clarity. From the time I tured 30 until right at my 32nd birthday I went to Christian churches. Before that I did not go to church, as my parents had always left it up to me to decide what I wanted to do religiously. I can tell you that the churches are what turned me away from God and religion. The one other thing is that I cannot say that Jesus is the ONLY way to God and feel good about that. I just don't believe that. There are so many religious people I have met (especially Christians) who act so terribly that they have turned me off. I hope that makes sense! I am starting to do some reading about Budhhism now and find it to be interesting. I took History of World Religions in college, and that was an incredible class. I enjoy reading and hearing about what other people believe, but I just can't stand someone telling me that they are the only right religion. That is why my religion is none.
