So, once again this year, The Nightmare Before Christmas is coming out in theaters in 3d. I went to see this last year and it was awesome! We sat towards the back of the theater and watched it and it honestly felt like you were right there in the movie. The scene where Jack falls down the vortex into Christmastown was really moving because it felt like you were falling with him. I am hoping that I will be able to take my kids to see it this year because I did not take them last year. If you have not seen it in 3d, I highly recommend it. If you have seen it already, what is your opinion? Would you recommend it to friends and family or not? Why?

Don't get me wrong I love The Nightmare Before Christmas, but I strongly feel that it should have been made in 3D from the very beginning and I don't know it might just be me but I didn't think the 3D effects were all that great. If anything I thought the effects were pretty crappy. I was very disappointed when I saw the 3d version but i still love the movie, I love the plot, the characters and songs were awesome. I would totally recommend families to go see it, but to keep in mind that this a Tim Burton film and at times his films can seem at times a little scary.

Yeah, his films can be kind of scary at times, however, I do not think that this is one that you really have to worry about that with. This movie, in my honest opinion, is more fun than it is scary and I think the kids that will enjoy it more are going to be of the older variety, around at least 6 or 7 years old.

Seeing it in 3d was literally mind blowing. As in your household, it is a favorite in ours as well. We have a little tradition where we watch it every year around Halloween and Christmas.

I see this discussion was started 3 years ago, but the bigger movie theater in my town showed the nightmare before christmas in 3D this year, too. I wish I went to see it! I love the movie so much, and it sounds awesome in 3D. I wonder why the only show it at Halloween time, when its technically a Christmas movie? :o
