Hamilton pushed the wrong button

I have heard on the news on tv that Hamilton said that he made a mistake during the grand prix of Brasil: he pushed the wrong button and the car could not go away, so there was not a problem to the car but he did a mistake. What do you think about this mistake? I'm a fan of Ferrari, but I say that maybe he felt a lot of emotion and with the emotion he did this mistake.

McLaren themselves have said that he didn't push any wrong buttons. I think that Martin Brundle probably got it right in his commentary when he said the most likely cause is that going over some of the big bumps on this circuit knocked something offline, which he was either able to reset or go to a back up system. This was further bourne out by the fact that Hamilton was taking some odd lines during the rest of the race, clearly avoiding the bumps.

Hi there!! glad to see someone is asking this or started a discussion about this one... just read an interview to Pedro de la Rosa (McLaren), and he says that´s totally impossible, as that BUTTON is not in the place Hamilton told. I guess Hamilton just had a tyechnical problem, and that has nothing to do about the button he says. Anyway, I´m glad Raikkonen won. I would have liked Alonso to win, as he had some terrible times in this year, but if it was not Alonso, I preferred Massa or Raikionnen. Greetings!!!

I think he had a technical fault. How can he made a mistake and also mistake in such a crucial race. These kinds of opportunities comes in a life time. He had been awsome throughout the season .He couldnt press the wrong button.

There are so many types of lewis'failure during the grand prix of Braisl. It is hard to know the truth, but we all konw too many things occured lewis so that he can't concentrate on his work,it is not all his fault. His cry after the game broke my heart, after all he is too young, beacuse of his age, all mistakes should be forgiven.

Yeah, that could have happen. Maybe he felt sorry for his opponent and did what he did was good for the other person.

Hamilton proved that how dumb he can be on that eventful day. He had the best chance of winning the championship going into the race. Nobody expected Raikkonen to win, as there should be so many things that must go right for him. But Hamilton's mistakes made that possible. Ferrari had a wonderful strategy. Mass started the race from pole, and then braked infront of hamilton, so that raikkonen can overtake him. But through the gap went Alonso as well, which caused the panick in Hamilton. He is rookie, and has to learn a lot more win world championship. His car was performing really well, and its a shame that he didnt live upto the potentials of the car.
