The Point that every One is Missing on GPT and PTC earnings

I've been doing these for about 9 months. I believed what I heard and was all syked to make tons of money and I played the game and learned from experience, the ins and outs, the does and don'ts and the can's and can'ts. When all fizzled down, I am now using only 5 GPT sites (out of the massive hundereds out there!) and I play them based on the contests they offer so I make more than just the offer payout. I have about 12 PTC that I work daily. I cover my household utilities - water, sewer, trash, phone, internet and gas every month for sure. Not bad for such little effort and time. And I live in Southern California where everything is more expensive anyway! I have also covered my christmas expense for this year! But...I think many, like I did, believe what they hear and think they will earn hundreds or thousands as that is the buzz on lists, groups, forums and places like that. Not saying it can't be done, but I do belive that it is seldom that it does and it takes long time for it to happen and it will only happend ify ou have a HUGE downline or referrral group - something they dont' tell you about when they say "I make $2,000 a month on this site". Well, they've been there for 5 years, working the site themselves, and advertsiing all over to get referrals and then they make commission off their referrals earnings. Good work if you can get it. But...those of us just trying to cover the bills, forget all that. It most likely won't happen to you unless youspend a LOT of time advertising it and invest many years doing so. So... just play the game yourself, pocket your cash and pay your bilss and forget the rest of it. If you get referrals, great, but don't count on it. I have 21 people that joined under me in the last 5 months - and not one has done a single thing on the site - ergo, not a penny of referral cash to me. something else they don't tell you is you can only do EACH offer ONCE - FOREVER - PERIOD! They lead you to believe that if you join 50 sites and do the offers on all 50 sites, using different email address you'll get paid for them all - $.30 x 50 sites is $15 times 100 offers - no, doesn't happen. You can get banned from the advertiser and your account deleted if you are caught doing them multiple times. So the story under the hoopla is pick a few nad work them and you'll be fine and make good money. Other thing they dont' tell you is that they make you believe that you can do all this huge money amounts by just doing freebeis. No, you have to do the trisls and paid this and that to. You'll get your initial investment back, but you haven't "MADE" that money, you just got it reimbursed. I did one on ebay - paid $9.00 if I won an auction. I bid and did win and got the $9 in my GPT account, but had to pay the ebay person from my PP savings. PEople will say "I made $9!" No, you didn't you just have to spend it out of your budget or got it reimburesed. So, my advise? Pick a few and play them and watch your earnings grow. Don't expect to pay the rent every month. Start with a small goal and work to add to it. I started with the goal of making $500 for Christmas expense this year. I cleared that last May and have been paying my utilities ever since. Works for me!

Every thing you say is so true and more. For one, referrals..you will be so lucky if you get one to make you more then a few cents. And the contests, that's the only way to make the 'big' bucks. Or at least really increase your earnings. On some sites I don't even do anything unless there is some contest or offer going on. Other things they don't tell you, you will get banned if you log into your account from another account holder's computer. For example, my mother and I belong to some of the same sites. I can not log into my account when visiting her. In addition, recently she was traveling on holiday and logged in to just check her stats. And she got banned from the site because she logged in from an internet cafe in another country. It automatically tracked her IP address to a foreign country. She had to get reinstated. Ok, all that aside there is good money to be made but you have to be willing to put in a lot of effort.

Yeah, I learned that too - they track by IP addresses not so much email addresses. The big hoopla this summer was use different email addresses for each offer you do. Did that, didn't work, asked and asked why and no one had an answer - until I forget how, but I found out about the IP address. BIngo - question answered. That's another reason why to slim down to just a few and stay dilligent and commited - it'll work for you! Bottom line: Play by the rules, but know them first!

I only hope all our new members in mylot read this, because they think having entered here and picking up couple of sites they make $300 to $3000 by doing something or the other. As you said nothing of this sort happens. I worked very hard (almost 6 to 7 hours a day) at mylot from August 2006 to Feb. 2006 and I made close to $600. But then in those days mylot was paying pretty well. Now I spend 2 hours a day and earn less than $10 permonth. Examples what you have given is highly realistic and based on first hand information and practical experience. Thanks for useful information and have a nice day.

Hi coffeebreak, I have to agree, you do make some good points there. I just started to really work on the gpt sites these last couple months. It's kind of hard though to really work full time on them like some do though, having 3 kids and doing the "daily chores" us mom's have to do at home. But I've been doing okay for just starting out, making almost 200.00 in one and a half months. I agree, after thinking about all these offers, after so long you can only do so many offers, but, it's really not impossible to get a good referral line on those sites. Yes, it does take time and work but in the end it's worth it. It really pays off too to try as much as you can to help referrals out with questions and messages even if it's just a "keep up the good work" note. I admit it can be hard to keep up with all of them while at the same time trying to work on some of your own offers and sites but it doesn't hurt to work on them if you do have the time. Sounds like you're not doing too bad though if you're able to pay all those bills off. Good job:)
