what should I do when my father drinks?

Today, when I was having class, I got a message from my mother.My mother hardly sent any short notes to me, as she said it's difficult for her to press the right button to write a sentense to me.So everytime, her message is to tell me something important. she said"your father recently went out to drink, especially last night and the day before yesterday, he drunk with the person who had teeth cancer problem.You should try to persuade your father not to do it ." I know my mother is worried about my father's health, and she thinks that parent usually would like to accept the suggestions from his son or daughter.I also know it's my responsibility to care them, and do something, but now I just can't find sutiable words to speak to my father. Actually, my father isn't the kind person who can't live without drinks, I know mostly he is required to drink as a communication way with someone above his social position.My mother and I did sugget him not to drink in the past. that's the fact, what should I SAY ?
