petrol prices

Do you think we are being riped off with the price of petrol today and who by? I think we are being riped off by both our government and by the Arab nations. Petrol in Australia changes price depending on the time of week, as it gets closer to the weekend prices go up. Now is this a ripeoff or no? And our government does nothing about it.

I wholeheartedly argree with you. I can understand that prices go up with inflation but what I don't understand is the inconsistency with which these prices differentiate. Years ago, petrol would increase slightly around Thursday and most petrol stations would be around the same price with only a few cents difference in price. Now....when the price increases on a Thursday, it is not uncommon to see quite a variation in petrol prices everywhere you go. Our government really needs to do something about the petrol situation. They are definitely ripping us off! Just tax petrol once and it wouldn't be so expensive....
