Euthanasia is also known as mercy killing. I would like to answer your question in biblical perspective. I believe that God is most merciful-- above human, above all. If I favor euthanasia, it would imply that I am mercier that God. If God did not allow a person to die yet, why should I? Maybe God has reason why he is keeping that person alive. Something that I do not know.

I think you are right, it really depends on the situation. And there are limitation of euthanasia for me... I would agree if the person is really in so much pain and dying and only survive because of the apparatus, and that person is asking for it already. I would agree to take away the apparatus that is keeping him/her living. BUt to inject something to kill that person is a big NO nO to me.

If I was suffering, in pain, incurable, then I would rather save my loved ones any more grief. Since the loss of my Dad I have thought more and more about this.

Hello there. Whenever I see the word euthanasia, I will think of the movie 'Million Dollar Baby' starring Clint Eastwood and Hillary Swank. I remember the last scene deeply. Hillary Swank was paralyzed from neck down, her family did not care about her, and she wanted so badly to die. She pleaded with Clint Eastwood to let her die. In the end, he did and he went into reclusion and lived a life full of guilt. If you were him, what would you have do? If I were him, I'll most probably not have the guts to do it. On one hand, he is helping her to end her misery, but on the other hand, he is killing a life.

yes we should all have the right to die with dignity. I believe that if you are a terminal patient, in pain and with no great hope for the future then you should be able to. It would be on your terms, your way. You would get to say goodbye to your loved ones and sort out any business you needed to. Lets face it you come into this world alone, you live it your way, surely you should be allowed to die that way. The decision would have to be the hardest one to make and i'm sure anyone making the decision has reached it the hard way, unfortunately. Families would all be consulted and I'm sure many an arguement is put forward from them. It would surely be a hard road to travel. The decision should not be anyone else's but the doctors, families and most of all the patients.

You may consider my answer odd but.....I think it's okay for people, I don't believe in it for animals. If a person is in pain and actually says that the want to die then let them die I guess, it's thier life. But animals do not have the ability to agree to anything or to express a desire to die and it is unlikely that they ever feel that desire if we are correct in the things we say about animals haveign a natural suvivial instinct. I only believe in it if there is 100% confirmation that that is what the person who is to die wants.
