Is there any good software from which i can get faster downloads?

From what I know flashget got a better download speed. There are many other download managers but I have only used flashget and am happy with it. If you could get hold of the torrent of the file you wish to download then it is much better and reliable. If downloaded completely you are sure to get healthy file since the normal download may end up in a corrupted package. You need a torrent download manager like bittorent, utorrent, ktorrent or azurus to download a torrent file.

depends on how large the file you need to download usually. some bt softwares are quite suitable for large-size documents. i myself use the thunder, it has bt function also.
