Do you act your age?

We see people with wrinkles and gray hair and we tend to speculate his or her age. But I think that the outward appearance is secondary. What is important is how we act, how we conduct ourselves. I had been involved in marketing, advertising, and a services company. I had also travelled around quite a lot...And i meet different kinds of people. I admire those who are young, in their 20s who exude strength of character and direction. I have also seen people who are very warm and gentle despite their status and age. There are also those who think very maturely, especially in their outlook in life, despite being young. But there are also those who are already old but who show that a part of themselves has not quite reach that maturity level beyond that of a teenager. They easily sulk or demand their way or seek attention and other things bratty things that kids do. I also saw an old woman who was working in our city's Social Security System office. She was like 50+ years old and she was long sporting blonde mane (Asians have black hair) and two flapping silver butterfly clips on her hair. Only the grade school kids wear those!!! How about you? How old do you act? :-)

hi.. people say i look young for my age. even my younger brother is often mistaken as my older brother... that gets his goat. in fact, i still look the same 10 years, though i gained weight but i still look like most of my pictures a decade ago. however, i act the way i do... i still enjoy most of things i enjoyed before like watching cartoons like justice league, reading and stuff... also i like cutesy stuff... hehe.. i like my hobbies still... so i dunno... maybe that and my looks make people mistake me for a younger person than i really but i believe in holding on to the kid in me. to enjoy things very easily, and laugh my heart out whenever i can. i dont do dainty laugh but a good belly laugh...hahaha...

i believe so too, it keeps us from getting premature wrinkles. taking life too seriously does that. a young man in chuch is wondering why i seem to look younger while he seems to look older. hehe one of them said, it must be the presence of God. and they agreed that it must be it. and i think so too. God's presence in our lives lifts up our anxieties and worries and this does make us look younger.:-)

Hi Spoiled! I like this post! No I dont act my age at all. Im not sure how 35 is supposed to act. I mean Im responsible, I handle things that need to be with maturity. Other than that, Im silly and fun and love to laugh and have a good time. I sure dont feel my age at all. I feel much younger. My hubby often tells me how I make him to feel younger as well. Hes a bit older than me. I think if you worry about a number and dont life life, your just missing out. I know Ive seen many people in their 50's and 60's who act just as young as anyone in their 20's and 30's. You would never think to just look at them how old they really are. My father is in his 70's and him and his wife travel, dance, go to the casinos, stay out all night, you would just never think they were that age. I guess that is what retirement will do for you! haha Bay Lay Gray xx

No, I don't think I do. I look at some women in the grocery store, and to me, they're dressed like grown ups. You know, nice slacks, leather shoes, a button down shirt. Me? I'm in jeans and a sweat shirt and a baseball cap. I would rather play video games or go go-karting than sit around and drink tea and chat. So, even though I'm all grown up, I sure don't feel like it.

open-minded, optimistic, kindly...these are pretty good individuality for people at any age. besides, soemtimes a smile with childisness from an old woman, a sentence of comfort from a little boy ... are also beautiful.

mmm... I am not sure about the answer for this question, because I am not sure how a girl 30 yo should act... I think it does not matter how old you are, I always try to do what I think is good for me... But I am sure that I can be 60 or more, and still will have my girl part with me... it is like a try to keep a part of every age with me...

Everyone always tells me that i act older then my age, or that i am living way beyond my years. My mother and grandmother have this saying that goes, "You're only as old as you act and feel." My grandmother has 25 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, and she acts like she is in her 20's. She keeps up with all of them. My mother is more like my best friend. We share the same interest, and even go to concerts together. So I personally don't think that a number labels you by how old you are, its how you act.

Hi spoiled!Im young at heart! I dont think I will ever grow old. I like to laugh and have a good time. But then there are those days when I dont feel so hot so I will keep to myself untill I feel better again. I see these people who dress like they are teenagers and it doesnt bother me. If they feel good doing that then good for them. Have a great day!

Well I believe there is a time and place for everything. Sometimes when I'm home or away from work, I act like a little girl or like a teenager. But when I'm at work, I'm all serious business and I act my age. I'm silly and childlike by nature however, I realize I can't always be like that. Especially when I'm at work.

I am 22 years old, but people think I am just a high school student. My young appearance makes me in trouble. I want to be mature. I will choose clothes fit my age.

lol ithink its really relative, people may have good apearence for their age and there are others that we can really estimate their age only by looking at them!!!

To be honest it is hard for me to realize just how old I am at times. I am not "old" but still it is hard for me to really realize my real age. I see people my age and they look so much older than we are and I hope than me! LOL When I look at my kids is when i really realize that I am "growing up" LOL My daughter is in 7th grade this year and it just blows my mind!! I think that many older people who try and act so much younger are trying to feel younger. I am sure that it is hard for them to admit to themselves that they are really getting old and when they dress young and things like that it is usually to make themselves feel younger and better about themselves. I do hope that I never get to that point for the simple fact that I have seen some older people who really do not need to be wearing the clothing they wear or acting the way they are because it makes them out to be something they are not!
