Wishing you Happy Halloween with a spooky cat photo

Spooky Halloween Cat...our gal Nexus - This photo was taken when Nexus was younger. She is just over a year now...and doesn't usually look so 'Hallowee-nish!' Anyway thought it would be a fun post for what is both a fun evening and a spiritually significant one as well for those who honor it.

Greetings to all on this Halloween evening. David is out giving the kids who are coming to our door treats and I am just about to sign off. Thought I'd do that with a photo of our female cat Nexus peering over her food bowl with spooky eyes. She doesn't normally look like this...but it really seems to be a good fit for a night that is a fun time for many and a more serious spiritual time for others. So for those who have fun and love scary Halloween stuff this photos comes to you with happy Halloween wishes. For other friends who commemorate this time of deep spiritual significance my thoughts, prayers and well wishes join with you as we are reminded of the significance of this time and give honor to those who have moved to the next realm. Best regards as always, Raia

Such a cute kitty! We had a wonderful Halloween here last night! The weather was beautiful and we all had a great time. Colton said it was his best Halloween ever. Spent most of the day taking down decorations and stuff today. HEHE Now we are on to Christmas!

Thanks for you comments about Nexus...yes she is cute and a quiet, gentle and very loving cat. Good to hear you had a great Halloween...and that your son had the best Halloween ever. Yes, this time of year one season quickly follows another. You are also heading towards Thanksgiving...and then Christmas. Wow...I am glad we have our Thanksgiving in October. It is a lot when holidays bunch up together. Anyway, I appreciate you stopping by and adding to the topic as always. Warm regards Vicki! Raia

Hi Raia! And a happy Halloween (Samhain) to you too..first of all, just love your kitty photo..and love the background of wolf art hanging on the wall there..You have a wolf mandala there I see..beautiful! I'm a wolf person myself I placed a special plate down for my departed kitties to join me tonight and other offerings on my altar which is lighted up with a lot of candles, and have festive guords, small pumpkins, fall leaves...a scattering of acorns...the works

Hi again... Good to hear back and I hope you are feeling some better. I understand the depth of your loss. Every animal I have ever loved and lost has left their imprint on my essence and I hold the memory of the special times we shared in my heart. Yes, we are wolf people...big time. We have the images you saw and a variety of other pieces of artwork and collectibles. Interesting because they are connection to communication...and we sure do that! Thanks for your input, glad you liked the photo of Nexus. She is a gentle, beautiful cat. Good to hear how you celebrated Samhain...it is a special time of year. Blessings to you my friend... Raia

Hi again... What did Chey dress up as? She sure sounds like a feisty little girl with a big attitude and sounds really cute! Did you check out the photo of Nexus? If you enlarge it there are wolf pictures in the background you'll probably like. Your comments are always appreciated. Hope you are doing OK. I am happy to report my knee has improved a lot! At this rate I will be canceling the appointment with the knee specialist. I have gone on a raw food diet with a lot of fresh juices we make with our Chamption juicer. I have also included the supplements GLH and MSM. They have been proven to improve mobility and increase ligament strength. So looks like our chances for sourcing out nature treasures are really good! Will look forward to that. Until then take care and know we continue to send you much love and light. Raia

Big hugs and light filled blessings, Raia

What a cool picture of your kitty! I love it. Thanks for sharing. I hope that you had a wonderful Halloween. I haven't really had plans on Halloween night in so long, other than seeing what kinds of costumes the kids wear who come to our family's doorstep looking for candy, that is. But this year for Halloween I was able to see one of my favorite performers in the musical "Jekyll & Hyde". Definitely the perfect way to spend my Halloween night, as theatre is one of my great passions. I had such a fun time.

Ahhh thanks for your warm hearted response to the photo of Nexus. It is great to hear how you spent your Halloween. I read a quotation somewhere and it is something I try to life by...and that is we are only young once but we can be kids forever. I sounds as though you found a fun way to let your inner kid play in a wonderful way on Halloween. Good for you! Thanks for dropping by! Cheers, Raia

Hello Raia Happy Halloween to you :) Down here in India most of us are not even aware of the spiritual significance of Halloween :) we are used to the 'scare or treat' scenes from movies that it :) But i did learn a lot about it on the net. And Nexus i am sure is a pretty gal now :) Happy Halloween to you. Take care and Greetings from your friend Ano )

Hi Ano...thanks for stopping by. It is good to hear from you again. With other commitments increasing I have not had the same amount of time to spend on Mylot. I am holding to my 'response for every response' on my site. Then I do my best to drop around to friends sites as time permits. Hope all is well with you. Things are going well here. It is wonderful to hear that you open yourself to the many different spiritual beliefs out there. When we strive for understanding and accepting differences it certainly creates less polarization and greater unity. Goodness knows we sure need more of that during this troubles times! Good to have your input...take good care until we chat again my on-line gal pal! Warm regards, Raia

Greetings to you Raia and Happy Halloween as well! Great pic of your kitty there, really does look like a Halloween cat. Ive just been taking it easy, the hubby is gone off racing and Ive had the beginings of a sinus infection, so Ive been lying down most of the day. I didnt even feel up to any trick or treaters, so I just kept the house dark. Helped a lot with my headache that seems to be passing, thank goodness! Hope you had a great night! Bay xx

Hi and thanks for your comments about Nexus...comments on the photo itself are always appreciated! Sorry to hear about your sinus infection..they are not fun. Glad to hear you did things to nurture yourself rather than pushing the river when you are feeling under the weather...smart move! We had an enjoyable night, lit candles and celebrated the transitional stage of this time of year. Don't forget...if you and your hubby ever head our way...let us know and maybe we can connect in person! In the meantime take care of yourself. Raia

Gr!eetings again... Thanks for getting back to me...not to worry about the update. Sinus infections have a tendency to cause brain fog with me. Also when we respond to a lot of sites it is easy to lose track and forget to get back. I find it is challenging enough to keep up with my goal of a 'response for every response.' Also I posted the Mylot friend request...that eg with a number on it. I thought it was very nice of you to suggest that and if she becomes a Mylotter let me know...fun to increase the sharing circle! And yes, it would be a wonderful experience to put faces to the people we chat so openly with on line. In the meantime we'll continue to foster our on-line gal pal club and see where life takes us! Best to you and yours, Raia

Happy happy Halloween (belated) to you! I'm so sorry, I am late in greeting you and to respond to any of your discussion.. Since Halloween, I've had different occasions come up that prevented me to stay long online. Of course, there's All Souls Day, where we went to cemetaries and visited loved ones graves, and it's been hectic. The traffic has been really terrible here. And then in laws coming and staying over. Then my one and only employee who's manning our small business shop has been sick and asked for one whole week of leave and that I'll be taking over and work there from 9am to 9pm. The good thing is, I can still use the computer but only when I'm free and don't have anyone to serve to. Whew. And hubby's birthday is coming up and have no idea if he's going to celebrate with some friends or just for private. Okay, the picture of your cat's eyes really huge kinda looks spooky, but somehow still looks cute(= So how did you celebrate? Did you also go to the cemetery? Would look forward for your update. Hope you don't mind my having less time to respond recently. Warm Regards

Oh, hi there Nexus! Nice to meet your cat. lol Nexus looks much better now, hehe, looks like a friendly and gentle cat. Yeah, I did notice the wolves in the background, and I know you have explained to me about the significance of wolves. I appreciate so much about your update here. Hmmm, my husband has had stubborn kidney stones as well in the past. He;s had several lithotripsy (removing the stones) after one another. Thank God, it's been quite a while now. Just the half of his kidney is functioning. I'm glad to hear that everything is going better for you and yours and it is good to reflect on the blessings that we get. It's very interesting about your mentioning life cycles. "The outer is always a reflection of the inner and life is an experiential journey towards enlightenment."- This is so profound, and it does really make sense! I love this kind of discussion. I just wondered how you can assess your life/soul path according to outer changes. And my dear one you make things brighter by your natural ways. Glad to drop by and chat again. This will be it for now. With love and blessings

Our black cat Nexus - This is a photo of our 1 year old black female cat named Nexus. She is a gentle, loving, quiet cat and we adore her. We have four others and love them all...and yes, they do have very different personalities...even though some people say cats do not.
Hello again... How nice of you to drop by and comment on this discussion...and on the photo of Nexus as well. You are right about her looking spooky...but cute. I have included another photo of her as she usually looks. If you look in the background of the spooky photo will see more of our wolves hanging on the wall. On Halloween we lit candles and considered the bond we had and still have with loved ones who have transitioned to the other side. Both my parents wanted to be cremated and we spread their ashes in a lovely peaceful lagoon not far from town. We also took time to reflect on how many positive changes we have been blessed with since this time last year. David was ill with kidney stones, badly infected teeth that spread throughout his system. That affected his energy and finances were tight. Thankfully, he is pretty much regained his health and we are slowly replenishing our funds and looking forward to jump starting our business ventures into the New Year and beyond. So as life cycles from fall into winter we observed the divine order outworking itself and feel truly blessed to have each other, work we love, friends we adore. We always pause during each Equinox because it marks significant outer change and we try to assess what that represents to us and where we are on our soul path. Within our energy based perspective...the outer is always a reflection of the inner and life is an experiential journey towards enlightenment. Seasonal changes are wonderful reminders of how Something much larger than our limited view guides things even when it is hard to remember due to the appearance of strife, conflict, pain and suffering. Being on Mylot has been a wonderful confirmation to me that there are so many amazing people living their lives in quiet spiritual confidence and strength. When I said it has made the world seem like a warmer, friendlier place it is from my heart. The news media makes it appear that we are all doomed and that hate is the prevailing force in the Universe. Meeting you and others on Mylot has confirmed my personal view that it only takes one candle to light to dispel shadows and darkness...and there are a lot of people out there doing just that. Your validation of my offerings here is a wonderful gift to me...and I sincerely appreciate it. I love the prayer about being an instrument of light and love. Your generous, loving words strum my heartstrings and confirm that what I am sending out there is assisting others in some small way and I am grateful to know that. So that is the update on our Halloween 'perspective' this year. In closing it is really important for you to know that I do not have 'expectations' with friends. I trust we will contact each other when the time is right and if the bond is strong enough we do not have to be in touch all the time. Most really good friends are able to pick up where they left off...even when a considerable amount of time goes by. It is the reason I wanted us to have another way of staying in touch. Just send me a private e-mail saying you'll be busy for a period of time and will get back to me when you can. I will do the same if something like that occurs here as well. So my wish for you and yours is to take good care of yourself and each other...and know that I value our bond and will keep in touch. Love, hugs and many light filled blessings your friend, Raia

Hi again... Glad you enjoyed the second photo of Nexus...she is very sweet alright. Good to hear that your hubby is doing some better. David has made some dietary changes that helped his kidneys. He drinks WAAAAAY more water than he used to and finds that keeping his body well hydrated has reduced the number of stones he passes. Thankfully his are more of a gravel consistently than the larger ones. Still painful and debilitating when he is building up to pass them...but not as severe as what you hubby's are. He also cut down on the amount of carbonated beverages he drinks because of the high phosphorus in them. Black tea can add to kidney stone problems as does the amount of protein in the diet. So those changes have helped him a lot. I appreciate your comments about our inner/outer dynamics. That concept is the foundation of our company's principles. We developed something called the Inner Dynamics System where we assist clients in looking at the parts of their life they are satisfied with and assess the parts that are not to their liking as a means of discovering what needs to change. Sometimes our greatest suffering comes from we are 'attached' to. Those attachments can be possessions, mindsets, relationships, expectations, attachment to the past or fears/worries about the future. In our view the people in our lives, who they are, what they think and do...how they live are often indicators or 'outer reflections.' In our experience the old phrase...'show me your friends and I'll tell you who you are' holds a lot of truth.' Also the condition of our homes...what we collect, discard, hold on to...all of those things are outer reminders of who we are...what we place value you on...and where our time and energy goes. Where our mind go...the energy flows. We always make time for the important things in life whether it is growth, friends, family, our homes...so in all things large and small our outer world becomes a reflection of our inner worlds. Within my energy based view...everything is there to remind us where we are and what needs to change...or stay the same. This is a topic that has great depth and substance...if you want to chat more we can do so through our private e-mails. I am always happy to share my ideas with you. Anything to enhance the quality of life is something I love to do...especially with good friends like you. Always good to talk and catch up...my thoughts continue to be with you and I am praying for your sister and the rest of your loved ones. Hugs, love and light filled blessings, Raia

Thank you and bright Samhain wishes to you as well. Yes, the photo is rather spooky even though she doesn't look like that normally...just one of those fluky photo ops that come along every now and again. Good to have you drop by...enjoy your crystals. Best regards, Raia

I know Halloween is past but I saw the photo you posted of your cat and wanted to comment on it. You have one cute kitty there and being a cat lover myself I couldn't help adding my comments about it. The wolf pictures in the back are something we have in common. My wife and I are very drawn to them too.

I am not commenting here because of Halloween but because of your cat photo. I am a true blue cat lover and think the photo of your cat is really cute. That is it, no frills or long comment, just I love your cute kitty spooky or not. I commented on the image and rated the discussion and the picture a plus.
