It is a website set up by Yahoo for communities, such as counties to post items that you no longer want and would like to give away, and for others to post if they might need something. I have always joined freecycle when we have moved. Everyone knows that as you are unpacking you find things that you really would like to get rid of, or you find that you have a need. Most people won't post for needs or wants, but sometimes when i see a post for a need or want, it makes me thing of all the stuff that is still sitting in the storage room that hasn't been touched in ages. Do you have a similar program that you use?

Wow that is great. I am a member as well, but mostly I fulfil the needs of others. We have so much stuff it isn't funny, but I can't just say we don't need it. But if someone else is in need, I can part with it.

meholl, Freecycle is a network, not just a "website" and it is actually not "set up" by Yahoo although it is hosted on Yahoo. Just wanted to clarify that. :)It was started in 2003 and each Freecycle group in the network (which, despite what was recently reported by TODAY show, encompasses chapters all over the world, not just in the US) is set up by individual volunteers who want to see people recycle things in their community. I am a member/moderator/owner of a Freecycle group and I also help approve Freecycle groups for the FN. Today show article link: http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/21642033
