Years back we used to have Srinath and Venkatesh prasad who used to perform consistently well. But we dont have such fixed players for the team right now. What do you guys think? Who can become such fixed players to our team and stay in the team with that consistency.

Yeah, that's been a problem with the Indian team for quite some while.. But now they are quiet capatilising on it.. Zaheer and Shreesanth have been doing a good job for India and they can very well become what Srinath and Prasad were at their time...

you are right that present team dont have bowlers like srinath and venkatesh prasad.after them it was seen that agarkar, zaheer will fill there places and also phatan.unfortunately phatan's concentration changes to batting by out couach and captain and he lost his bowling skilss.now he is struggiling to come back in to team.hope soon we get a bowler who play for india like srinath.

We could have said that before the twenty-twenty world cup that there are no fixed bowlers. But now R.P.Singh has really looked a much more mature bowler than what he was earlier. Along with Zaheer, who has performed well except for the last series against Australia, R.P. makes a good opening combination, atleast for now its looking good. Irfan Pathan has shaped in well as a first change bowler but i do feel if he has still not got his swing back completely, that slight change in his action has helped him being more consistent in line and length but the swing, his main weapon, is nowhere close to what he had earlier. About Sreesanth, well he's just a entertainer as of right now with no performance of note except for the sideshows that he does in every other match. He seriously needs to back up his attitude with performance or else even bullying the batsmen won't remain of much use. At the time of Srinath and Prasad there weren't as many good enough fast bowlers around so definitely these two had to open the bowling all the time. But now we have Munaf Patel sitting out right now so it just goes to show that there are more number of fast bowlers around these days and probably thats why we have so much of chopping and changing. Sure Indian Bowlers need to keep trying to get better as there still weaknesses in all the main fast bowlers that we have. But this is the best combination that we have so the team management needs to rectify the weaknesses
