Why? Why? Why? I can't spill some words out...

Was there any time that even though you wanted to react or give an opinion, there's no way of saying it. Was there any moment that you are completely speechless, even thought you have a lot of thoughts. I've been wanting to write a comment and discussion here at mylot for quite sometime now but when i tried to put my thoughts together there's something that i can't explain which prevents me from doing it so. Have you ever experience this situation, where you wanted to react badly but you can't even put any words in to it...

It happens to all of us at one time or another. For whatever reason we are left speechless. I think it is common at certain times. Perhaps we shouldn't say anything at those times. Or perhaps we should save them to say later. Either way, when you can't put words to it, wait a day or so, they will come. Write them down, put them in a poem or a letter or a journal. Remember, you will have a chance to use them again in the future.

Yes, I have; and it seems that it happens alot more then I would like it to. I've been reading a lot of discussions here on mylot, but just couldn't respond to some, not knowing what to say; and I think somewhere in my head, I'm thinking that I don't want to say something wrong. as a child, I was always told it's not what you say, it's how you say it. all my life I've had trouble expressing myself, and at my age now - I guess I always will. Good post! - It hit home for me! Thanks!!

It is a normal things to me for having that such situation and will rest a while for drink and food. Some light exercise like walking around for ten minute and come back again at computer. Feel much better, like turbo engine system.

Oh yeah. That is called writers block. I did start a discussion a few weeks back about writing about nothing. It was an idea on how to over come this strange and frustrating block of thought we all suffer from. The response was huge, and I think it helped a lot of people too. You see, when you start writing about nothing, you find, when you are finished, that it was actually something and hopefully from there, you are able to collect your thoughts and keep on writing! If it doesn't work, then try writing about your pen or coffee mug, anything insignificant, and be as descriptive as you can! It is actually a tool that Universities recommend for when you are stressed or suffering from writers block.
