why do students (high school/college)like to read Harry potter books? Do they like the imaginary stories/fantasies? Why do they like the protagonist--Harry? What is so appealing in these books? Is Rowling a good story teller? (beyond any doubt) please comment. j.v.s

Why does anyone read ANY novel? They enjoy the story it tells, and the way the writer tells it. It isn't just students that like the Harry Potter series, either. The parents of those students are ALSO reading the books. We find them fascinating.
