Have you tried marketing your on line programs offline?

The reason I ask is because I have just created a blog dedicated to my city (not the one in my profile) and I'm posting papers around the city with the little tear of pieces with my blog address on it. I am wondering a few things... Did you have success with this? Where did you post your ads? I am think I will post them on grocery store bulletins, by the mail boxes (about 100 boxes in a location), on telephone poles by bus stops and by the college.
