I'm in the dark about it just as much as you are i haven't the slightest idea.. but i do see it all hte time while logging into sites...find out let me know...

What is RSS? RSS stands for “Really Simple Syndication”. RSS is a web feed format used to provide myLot web content to other websites and news aggregators. The RSS feed contains web content or summaries of web content and a link back to the full content in an XML file. This facilitates the syndication of our web content as well as providing a way for myLot frequent users to easily track updates on our site. I hope this will help you better understand what RSS is:)
