Making Money On Ebay

Is it really that easy to re-sell things on Ebay and make at least a decent extra income? I see so many things for sale on Ebay that don't even have one person bidding. If the item doesn't sell, the seller has to pay the costs associated with putting the item up for auction.
And how to people even make a decent profit? There is so much competition out there for people trying to sell the exact same thing, but for literally pennies on the dollar!!
How do you compete with that? How do you make it work? What is the best product to sell? I have spent several hours trying to find that out. So far I haven't done that well. Hoping somebody out there has some good advice.

Well, I wouldn't say that you can resell just anything on ebay & make a profit. Name brand clothing is a good thing to resell. I sold gymboree clothing and made money. I bought it at the store or in lots and then resold it on ebay about a year after i bought it. People are crazy about this brand. It is a children's brand. I have about $10,000 in gymboree inventory right now. If you would like to purchase some of it, I will sell it to you. I want to sell it all since I am not selling right now due to a busy schedule. I can gurantee that you would make some money selling this brand alone. And it is all new with tags. just2crazygirlz@yahoo.com
