When the kids are in school

I have been at home with the kids for the past 10 years. The youngest is now in school and I am at a loss. I would love to make money from home so that I can go to school stuff like field trips or special lunches and even not have to worry about work schedule juggling if they get sick or have doctors appointments. The problem I am having is that I don't know where to start. I can navigate on some things but most of the new computer stuff is so strange to me. Can someone help. I need a direction cause right now I am just running in circles and while the kids loved that it is just not so much fun on my own, ya know.
