The Unit Killed Off a Main Character

I am still a bit shaken due to The Unit's killing off one of my favorite characters last night. I'm not ashamed to say that I actually shed tears. I think it was underhanded of them to suggest that one character would be leaving and then they killed off another one at the last minute. I don't like it when shows start to kill off the main characters. I have actually stopped watching a show when they do this. I know it is not real, but I do become attached to some characters. How do you feel when they start to kill off characters in one of your favorite shows?
