How can we change the world together?

I have often wondered about how we all could make a difference living in this cruel vindictive world of ours if we just believed and came together without prejudice or politics and do the right thing which is taking care of each other instead of killing each other for whatever reason. I am talking about the wars and those that take other peoples lives through greed and satisfaction. I strongly believe we all can make a major impact in the world of today if we just pull together and see what the real problem is in the world. Imagine a world without hate and domination. Imagine a world without wars and conflicts. I believe we were put on this earth for a reason and I do not mean forming governments trying to control the people and how they live along with where they choose to live. It is time to wake up and smell the coffee folks because if we do not do something about it surely the end of times will no longer be a myth. It will be a reality that we will have to deal with when it happens and that is something that terrifies me big time. That is my input on this subject for now and I welcome any other comments graciously. I look forward to reading other responses in the near future.

You have a noble thinking. It is a good start. If this way of message comes from every citizen with real zeal, that country can lead in this direction to unite all countries. Then the whole world will become peaceful. Will Our power mongers allow us towards this direction?

good discussion aquadslife! will rate you. in my case, i felt the leading to change the world in my own small way by uplifting the value of honesty in our society. i feel that graft and corruption is rampant in our government, while these people already have so mcuh money. yet they are so dishonest. on the other hand, i see people who are poor yet they return the money or cellphone that they find on the streets, in corridors, or left in public transport. i want to honor them and recognize their good work because not too many people are honest anymore. i hope that in that manner, we can encourage people to become more honest. my husband and i are in this together. and we hope to start that movement soon. :-)

Thank you very much on your compliment to this discussion. The government raises money for their campaigns during election time and some rays millions of dollars that could be going into something more productive in changing the world that we live in. As far as I'm concerned it is the people that should be able to control their own destiny and with power and corruption you end up with criminal activity on the rise. I do not believe any government body is considered to be honest about anything other than trying to win over the people that they want to control. Just look at the evidence today with the American community. As the price of oil goes up per barrel so does everything else that we need to survive on a daily basis and even then our hard earned money is being taxed on top of everything else. The problem with honesty is that people find it hard to trust other people today with the words that never happen. Actions must speak louder than words and all that I see today on my television is governments negotiating this and that making promises about the future that I believe will end up being the same in the future no matter who ends up being the leader in whatever country people reside in. I am curious about this movement you speak of and would be interested in hearing more about it if you would care to share it with me. I hope that all this makes sense above because it is exactly how I feel on the inside about the world and what is needed in order to change it before everything becomes nothing in the end of times.

I wish that I could agree with you on that statement. Unfortunately, the evidence speaks for itself and that is something we have to go by. As far as I'm concerned, the people of the world have been waiting for decades for something to come along and change the way things are being done to save the world from itself. To say that is going to be okay is not convincing to me. I have observed and watched over the past several years on the news about how the stock market and governments are working together to try and make the world a better place for all of us. If you step back and look at all the things that are happening in the world today the only positive reassurance that I have seen so far is within this one-week that was dedicated to going green which I believe is one of the things that will save the planet if we stick to it beyond just this week. Sorry about the length of this message, but I want to make sure you understand why I feel that things are far from okay in my perspective and now is the time for things to change in the world so that we all can truly be proud of what has been placed before us. That is my two cents worth on your statement.

There are numerous things that an individual can do in order to change the world. Change does not come easy however. Do you know why change does not come easy? The reason why change does not come easy is for the fact that people are afraid of change. Every once in a while you might hear of an individual that steps over the competition and does something that is completely revolutionary. Sometimes, these ideas are so revolutionary that he or she is considered to be a radical. And do you know what happens to these "radicals"? They are exterminated. Perhaps what I am trying to get at is that in order for everyone to change the world together, we must first have to stop being ignornat and accept the fact that for one, something is in fact wrong, and for two, that an individual no matter the age can come up with an idea that can help to fix the problem. For instance, we still have scientists out there trying to figure out whether or not the problem of global warming is actually legit or not. The fact that of the matter is, it is there. People like Al Gore have tried to merge the party lines together and let them see that the problem is there, and that it does exists. Do you know what most of the party members did on the opposing side? They rejected his claim as false. Now that people are seeing that the polar ice caps are melting, sea levels are rising, gas prices are at an all time, we have more gas powered moving systems then none, and we are throwing mas amount of admissions into the air- only now are they accepting the fact that something is actually going on. And this thing that is going on could have been fixed. If it were only for people individuals listening to one little voice. Saying all of that to say- I do believe that we can help to change the world one step at a time. Do I believe it will be easy? Of course not. Do I believe that people should listen to others no matter how big or small they are. Yes I do. It is possible, and there are hundreds of thousands of people out there whom have ideas to change the world better.
