Is the news trustworthy?

Do you trust the news that you hear on the Radio, TV and in newspapers? It is hard for me to trust what I hear as there seems to be so many dishonest and "secret" things going on lately and there seems to be more and more distractions trying to pull us away from things that are really happening. I try to keep an open mind when watching the news and do research and draw my own conclusions.

US news and media is not trustworthy. If you want to know what is really going on, you have to read a variety of international newspaper sites and come to your own conclusions.

we cannot take this in a general sense...but i think somehow, news deviates from being trustworthy...for example, in my own country...the news says that it is very chaotic when in fact it is NOT chaotic although admittedly, there are usual problems in the country...so i don't trust EVERYTHING that is in the news...
