Pets, People and Priorities?

Check out this news report @ http://www.wistv.com/global/story.asp?S=7329845 Are pets a bigger priority? What about these non profit agencies getting funding and not disclosing the requested records, that should be readily available to the public and to it's members. Asking $300.00 to get a look at the detailed financial reports? Don't you think a non-profit organization being questioned about their financials would be more then willing to disclose these records for FREE if they didn't have anything to hide?

Well it's Moring to you!LOL I guess we are on different time schedules. Exactally, I too have my pets and love my pets and have rescued pets from the Shelters, but when you have more shelters for animals then you do for women and children that have NO SAFE PLACE, I don't feel we are setting our priorities first to the human race. My main concern is the fact that the Management of this Women's Shelter, has let this shelter become an Eye Sore, and the women staying there claim there is NO FOOD for the residence and NO Air conditioning in the HOT CAROLINA SUMMER HEAT, and the annual report shows that this Agency gets government funding of over $875,000 a year.( Not to mention all the fundraising and community support donations) But when asked to show detail reports of where all this funding is going, they claim the public and members of this organzizaion has to pay a deposit of $300.00 to get to view these records????? IF they are not doing any wrong doings, why would they not be willing to give this information to those requesting it, Like the News Media. It's because of Organizations like this, that abuse the system that it is hard to get the prorgam funding that is needed for these Abused Women and Children. I bet those Animal shelters have NO Problem turning their records over to the press, and it's doubtful that they are Charging a $300.00 deposit to view those records too. www.LavenderPower.org

hyzz1982, obviously I'm quoting your comment (but people should treat the animals cruelly.). What the heck does that mean? and then you say "human should be forbidden to kill a animals cruelly". Obviously you have no idea what the topic is really about or your a foreigner who isn't grasping the english language in order to communicate effectively. The real problem with this particular topic or issue has more to do with society as a whole, but the problem with this one particular shelter is falls solely in their own hands. They should not be advocating for victims of domestic violence when in fact they are not true advocates or the problem with their agency wouldn't exist.

Nano I could be wrong but I think it may be the english issue. I think he is saying the the humans should be priority, but we still shouldn't kill animals. At least that is what I hope he is saying. But I could be wrong! I hoping it's the english issue. LOL
