I would like to know with several applications running, how much free RAM does my computer have. How I can monitor the temperature and fan speeds of my system and processor fans? Also, I want to know how I can obtain a detailed report on the hardware configuration of my computer.

To monitor temperature and fan speed etc. you can do this in two ways. While booting, just after switched on, hit del key. System BIOS will open up. Go to hardware monitor section. There you can see all sort of info such as temp., fan speed, different types of voltages coming out of SMPS etc. The second way is to install a third party software for monitoring the system status/health. One way to find such software is download.com.
