I am a credit card holder and it somehow surprises me that some people have this negative notion about credit cards. Most say that having one will tempt you to spend more and more until one day you'll just realize that you're already in a financial mess. What do you think?

I think that some people are just not made to have a credit card. But it really can be helpfull. It's great to buy things online or to buy christmas gift. Simply having a 500$ limit can help a lt if you know you can pay fast. Also you have to really chose yu credit card.

same here, for me, it's really helpful. I think it's just a matter of discipline during shopping time and always paying the whole amount and on-time. They say 'blame the cardholder, not the card'. Thanks for the response.

Hello irene. Long time no see. I guess you are busy with your life and work. Today I read this topic and it makes me think that credit card is not good enough as it encourages its holders to consume. One can spend using a lot more money than he can make with such a credit card in hand if he cannot control himself in spending money. Despite of its advantages, it also has the disadvantages listed above...Hope to see you soon here, irene.
