Do you use a mousepad?

In the past, I used to use a mousepad but it seems that with modern mice, that doesn't seem to be necessary anymore. So I get by these days without using one at all. Perhaps it's also because I don't do any gaming. How about you? Do you use a mousepad? Why or why not? Please share your stories. Thanks.

As you know, with scroll ball mouse. Mouse pad was a necessity. But since arrival of the optical mouse, it is not absolutely necessary to use mouse pad. But still when u r playing games or working on cad software, for precision u need mouse pad. And one more thing i would like to mention i use white olour or black colour mouse pad without any design on it. Since these optical sensors can get refleted form the colour or glossy surface it will not point ot the exact point where u inteded to.i.e. it will deflecct from its postion(If u want to experiment try using a paper with clossy finish and colour same as that of ur optical mouse sensor). So i prefer to use wite sheet of paper as mouse pad.

Hi! Usually I use a mousepad. Even with the modern mice,I'm used to the mousepad.I think it's more convenient and better for my hand. In my company,I don't have a mousepad.Sometimes I feel my hands get tired after a long time. And I think it's more flexible when I've got a mousepad:) What's more, nowadays there're many well-designed mousepads which make our hands feel more comfortable even if we use the mouse for a long time.
