Skype or Live Messenger? Which do you prefer?

I love to do video conferencing with friends overseas. It's a great way to keep in touch. I've heard so much about Skype and that many people use it. But which programme is more reliable? Which do you use, Skype or Live Messenger? Which do you prefer? Why? Please share your stories. Thanks.

windows messenger gives me a lot of problems, i like skype and i use it a lot. i feel the voice quality in skype is nice and also you get to chat and so you have evrything in it. you can share files also. so all in all you have a better option of skype than windows live. and it is very popular in us and uk

I prefer Skype when it comes to audio quiality and MSN to video quality. sometimes i use both..i open both of them i send the invite from MSN and audio in skype. Funny but its true.

I have never used Skype and I have never downloaded it. I use everyday Windows Live Messenger and I think it's a very good software, I have a lot of contacts there and you can send a lot of types of files.
