Yesterday I put my dogs in my room because I had kids coming.{I babysit} I didnt want them jumping on them. When I went up to get them I see they had chewed a roll of toilet paper up. Then I notice a Bead on the bed. It was a bead from a hemp necklace I made. Well I cant find the rest. I assume my dog ate it!! All the hemp and the tiny beads too!!! AHH! I was really upset. I was going to sell it but now I cant. I have to make a new one. I cant believe she ate it all!!! No trace of it left except for the big mushroom bead. Darn Dog! LOL. I called my dad and he said she should pass it. Thank god because I dont have the cash to take her to the vet for treatment. Today she seems fine like nothing happend so Im not to worried. She has done her buisness a few times as well. Im just still shocked that she ate it!! I mean really it couldnt have tasted that good! LOL. Has your pet ever ate anything it wasnt supposed to??

Hi copperkitten, When I was a teenager living at home our family pet (a purebred miniature schnauzer) named Pepper (because she was salt and pepper but more pepper) managed to get into a 5 pound Christmas cake that my mom had made. The poor thing was bloated, ver uncomfy, and had a hard time pooping. My mom took her to the vet but their was nothing they could to, was just something that had to "run it's course". Luv & Hugzz, PurpleTeddyBear.

Yea. Dog do eat strange things. The doberman Pinscher I had ate a blank and we did not know where it went. We did not think she would or could but we found when she went to the go to relieve her self and she had very, very hard time doing it. It was her lay on blank. I never thought she would eat it. I was very surprised. Just think I if she eat a bar of soap she could have clean her self inside out(LOL). Sorry! just a little joke.

I had a cat that ate a piece of green cristmas ribbon. He was fine except I had to help him out some when he tried to pass it and it got stuck. EEWWW! I'm sure your dog will be just fine.

coincidence...my yorkie named chewy has a thing for mushroom beads too...my dog at a hemp necklace i made as well, and in the same day she devoured the head of a tooth brush. I was so scared that these things would of got stuck in he intestinal track, but luckily she passed it all. Her poo contained the necklace with the beads still intact. The weird thing is that the necklace came out in sections. She would poop out pieces of the necklace over the period of about 3 days. The thing that scared me most was when she began to convulse and throw up a large chunk of hemp. I'm glad your dog is alright! I guess it just teaches us a lesson that baby-proof goes for dogs too. one thing i can't account for is the toothbrush head.
