Christmas is right around the corner and every toy that our children like is made in China such as Dora the Explorer. I also like Dora but I want to be sure that the toys are safe. Every week I hear about more recalls on toys made in China.Do you think that the toys currently on the shelves in the US made in China are safe? Also what are some popular toys made in the USA and where can I find it?

Its very difficult to find anything nowadays that is not made in China since most US brands have their factories in China. I believe that it's also a big failure on the U.S company's quality control to have such toys pass their notice. Factory may be located in China but quality control are under those companies who own the brands. You remind me of my 5-year old daughter who reads everything if its made in china even her bubble gum. LOL! She told me that she won't eat if its made in China. I told her that not everything that is made in China is bad or not good for her. With what happened, i believe they are now more strict. China has to regain the trust of the world by imposing stricter manufacturing or production measures.

My 5 year old did the same thing. As much as he loves his toys he told me that we need to get rid of them and buy him some new ones. I told him that I think that the toys that he has is safe enough not to worry, but I have to watch out for his sister and make sure that she does not put the toys in her mouth.

I have been noticing quite a few recalls lately. I do not know if China made toys can be trusted or not. But if you are concerned, I would type toys made in the USA in the search engine and see what comes up.
